Volunteering
Volunteering
We could not provide such affordable counselling if it were not for our committed team of volunteers. If you are able to offer 2 – 4 hours of your time each week, to support our service as a qualified counsellor, a student counsellor or a receptionist, we would love to hear from you.
We are a Christian Service, and although we do not require all our volunteers to be Christian, we do ask that all of those representing our service are in sympathy with the Christian ethos of the Lyttleton Well.
Qualified Counsellors
Volunteering as a counsellor enables you to be part of a counselling community with other professionals and gives you the opportunity to build up your counselling hours for accreditation. We are able to reimburse you for some of your expenses such as supervision costs, and we also provide a number of free CPD sessions a year for all of our counsellors.
You must have a minimum of a Diploma in Counselling, with recent experience and you must also be a member of a professional body such as the ACC or BACP. We ask that our counsellors commit to working with us for a period of two years. If you have any questions about our requirements, the application process, or if you would like to know more about what our service offers, please either complete the contact form on the Contact Us page, or call us on 07793 505832.
